Smart Moves Removals was set up in Lytham St. Annes in 1995 by Stephen Hurst, and he still owns the company today. Initially, the first overseas move request came from Mrs. Marshall, who was moving from Lytham to Laganas on the Greek Island of Zakynthos. As Stephen has always relished an adventure, he quickly realised that this was where his future belonged.

Over time, Smart Moves has become a specialist in moving people’s treasured possessions from the UK to every region of France, including Corsica. The team has travelled to almost every European country with our truck

If you happen to watch ‘Escape to the Chateau DIY‘ on Channel 4 (Series 4 Episode 16) with Dick and Angel Strawbridge, we were recently featured on it. We moved our clients Simon and Debbie down to their lovely old chateau in Le Donjon, in the Allier Department. Their plans are to renovate the chateau and turn it into a B&B. However, the driveway at the chateau was definitely not built for modern removal trucks!
